At the intersection of West New York Avenue and Florida Avenue, pause to look at these buildings in the next block.
 120 South Florida Avenue The City's government center was built in 1921. Originally the basement housed the police department; the north end was City Hall and the south end was the fire station. The firemen lived on the second floor.  214 West New York Avenue The American Legion was built in the 1930s. It still houses the post. |  | ||
